The Brand
In 1969 with an entrepreneurial spirit, Jessica invested $5,000 from her savings which became the genesis of Gunne Sax by Jessica McClintock. Sensing a void in the marketplace for well-designed, value driven informal dresses, Gunne Sax collections were quickly embraced for their core everyday use.
While weaving Victorian, Edwardian, and Medieval touches into her fashions, ‘Gunnies’ also began showing up at graduations, weddings and proms.
Recognizing the bond she created by dressing women for life’s most important moments, Jessica expanded the enchantment to other product lines. She established a 360-degree lifestyle brand -touching her fans on an emotional level that is far and beyond what other brands and designers are able to offer.
